The Founder
About Beverly Vote
Visionary. Survivor. Leader. Advocate. Spiritual Midwife for Healing.
Beverly Vote was diagnosed with breast cancer at age 38, after being misdiagnosed four times in the year prior. She knows what it feels like to fall through the medical cracks. And she knows what it means to rise anyway.
That rise came through “God moments”, sacred nudges and an undeniable dream that revealed this was never just about her healing journey… but a divine assignment to help reenvision the global story of breast cancer.
Publisher. Author. Founder
Over three decades later, Beverly remains a trusted voice and visionary leader for breast cancer survivors. She is the founding publisher of Breast Cancer Wellness Magazine, founder of the Thrivers Cruise, and author of “Breast Thermography, Facts versus Fiction: What All Women, Men and Professional Breast Care Providers Need to Know” and contributing author to “Chicken Soup for the Breast Cancer Survivor’s Soul,” The Pink Prayer Book,” and “Dancing with Fear.” As co-founder of the NCBC’s Leaders’ and Advocates’ Council, Beverly helped to advance survivors’ voices in breast care policies.
A God-Whispered Calling
In 2005, Beverly was considering the purchase of a regional women’s magazine when, in her sunroom with a yellow notepad and a cup of coffee, she heard God’s voice clearly:
“The magazine will be about breast cancer.”
She didn’t hesitate.
That voice led to the launch of Breast Cancer Wellness Magazine, a publication that would reach thousands of survivors and amplify stories of hope, strength, and transformation. It was a tribute to the three strangers who first reached out to Beverly after her diagnosis with their survival stories, and whose compassion carried her through her darkest moments.
Through the many stories shared throughout her 19 years of publishing the magazine, it became clear: Healing isn’t just about the body, it’s about the whole person: body, mind, soul, and story.
Her Life Mission Statement
After suffering many years from survivor’s guilt, Beverly finally wrote a Life Mission Statement, stating what she wanted her life to stand for: “To help change the culture and consciousness about breast cancer.” This statement gave Beverly something positive and productive to focus on.
A Dream That Changed Everything
On August 8, 2008, Beverly had a dream that would change the course of her work once again. The dream revealed something sobering:
The world does not have a vision for the global end of breast cancer.
Worse…most people don’t even believe it’s possible.
And if the cure were to arrive, the financial fallout would shake throughout many of our systems.
Two months later, the real estate market crashed, very similar to what she had seen in the dream about breast cancer being removed from the financial equation in our healthcare systems.
That dream on 08-08-08 became the seed of The New Pink Paradigm™.
Why This Movement Matters Now
After transferring the magazine to The Pink Fund in 2024, Beverly stepped into her next chapter:
Creating a vision-led, prayer-powered, story-driven movement for breast cancer healing…not just physical healing, but emotional, financial, and spiritual wholeness.
The New Pink Paradigm™ was born.
It calls survivors to rise, rewrite their script, and return to divine alignment.
It invites prayer as a healing tool, not an afterthought.
It declares that transformation is not only possible, but already underway.
Beverly’s Whisper to Every Newly Diagnosed Woman
“Lean into the pink sisterhood. It’s one of the most powerful forces on earth. Let the diagnosis define what’s most important to you and let that new definition give you permission to live your life more boldly.
Because this isn’t just about healing your body.
It’s about healing your whole life.”
