Meet the Speakers

The voices holding this sacred space — guiding prayer, presence, music, and healing.

Beverly Vote

Co-Host, Global Prayer Day • Founder, The New Pink Paradigm™ • Author

Beverly built The New Pink Paradigm™ and Global Prayer Day from one conviction: healing accelerates when faith meets community.

Beverly Vote is a 33-year breast cancer thriver, author, and visionary founder of The New Pink Paradigm™ — a global healing movement born from lived experience and divine calling.

Her journey began at age 38 after four misdiagnoses and years of unanswered questions. What followed was not only physical healing, but a spiritual awakening that reshaped how she understood illness, purpose, and the power of prayer.

A defining moment came through a dream on 08-08-08: the world lacked a shared vision for the end of breast cancer. That message became the seed of Global Prayer Day — a sacred bridge between those seeking healing and those ready to pray.

Today, Beverly gathers survivors, families, caregivers, medical professionals, and faith leaders into one collective moment of intention, compassion, and hope — honoring medicine while surrounding it with prayer, so no one carries their burden alone.

Highlights

Beverly leads with courage and conviction — because she knows what it is to need prayer, and what’s possible when people answer that call.

Sylvia Powers

Global Prayer Day Co-Host • Breast Cancer Advocate

Sylvia is a beacon of hope in breast cancer advocacy — committed to empowering individuals, educating communities, and expanding support for those most often underserved.

Sylvia Powers’ passion for advocacy began more than 30 years ago, when she founded the Celebrating Life Foundation after losing her Aunt Annie Lewis to breast cancer.

She became the first non-medical person to write about African American women and breast cancer, and her work has been featured in major media and programming — helping bridge gaps in education, access, and awareness.

Sylvia’s work has been recognized with multiple awards and resolutions for her leadership in breast cancer awareness and advocacy, and she continues to serve the survivor community through national collaborations and public work.

Highlights

Sylvia brings wisdom, strength, and a steady voice — reminding us that awareness must lead to action, and action must be rooted in love.
